Voices

Share your story

Voices is the part of Emma's site that belongs to other people. At its heart are autistic people, but it's open to anyone who is neurodivergent or disabled and has ever felt unheard: ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette's, learning disabilities, chronic illness, physical and sensory disabilities, and everything in between. The parents, carers, families and professionals who stand beside them are welcome too.

If you've ever felt overlooked, misunderstood or talked over, Emma would love to hear from you. Your story doesn't need to be polished or perfect, and there's no right way to tell it. It just needs to be yours.

What happens to your story

  1. Emma reads every story herself, carefully and in confidence.

  2. If she'd like to share yours, she'll contact you first to talk it through.

  3. She may edit it lightly for length, and you'll see and approve every change.

  4. When your story is published, Emma adds a short personal note at the end, written just for you.

  5. Nothing is published without your permission, and you choose how you're credited.

Tell your story

Fields marked optional can be left empty. Everything else helps Emma read your story properly and get back to you.

Let'stalk.

Talks, judging, events, press or a partnership: tell me a little about it and I'll come back to you personally.
